Initially, I treated this blog as if it were a fancy-looking journal.  Often, I can’t even talk about certain topics unless I’ve written them down, regardless of how relevant or crucial the topic is.  I’ve moved beyond all that to the genuine desire that people would read these words and be encouraged, challenged, and even changed.

It is only fair to humbly admit that none of these are original ideas.  They really aren’t.  Most of the time they are based on something specific I learned in church, or Bible study, or they are based on a conversation I may have had.  In the beginning, I was mainly trying to relieve the pressure of thoughts and feelings compounding and crowding.  I was only concerned about putting sentences together that would make more room in my brain.  And now my main focus when I am writing is to ask God to speak through my words, to help me as I type them, to whisper to me as I proofread.  I see original phrases that I put down morph into something else, something so much better, and I am so grateful that God is willing to use me in this way.  None of this would be possible without the people in my life who teach me, or without the resources that are available to all of us.

Thank you for your time.  I’m praying for you.

“Yet if you devote your heart to Him

and stretch out your hands to Him…

You will surely forget your trouble,

recalling it only as waters gone by.”
Job 11: 13 & 16
